i will reply, and that will be my last post on this thread anyway, i am all sore from the ski trip, no energy to keep typing. feel free to reply again to get the last word.

For what compelling reason did you feel like you had to rain on wawuzit's parade.

this has nothing to do with raining on someone's parade. he can state his opinion, then so could i. if webmaster here sets a rule saying no negative comment can be made about bmw, only praising is allowed, then fine i shut up. but before that i have as much rights as him or anyone else to state my opinion.

The fact that some are older than you, and nearly all are more mature, is not in and of itself even a valid subject for conversation.

If you like any or all of the others better, then why not hang on their boards?

i do. i have owned 3 of the cars i meantioned, 1 of them i still own now, and i did/do hang on their boards.

As to illogical...it IS illogical to list a bunch of cars, some REALLY losers among them, and use them to belittle Steve's idea that a horsepower gain is a noteworthy thing.

when the heck did i say horsepower gain is not worthy???
my point is that honda can boost hp big time also by having little or no displacement increase, which is 100% true and valid. too bad you choose to take it offensive.

If you know so much about it, why not a treatise on how the engineering in BMW engines is NOT very good.

you are forming a habit of puuting words into other people's mouth. when the heck did i say bmw engine is not very good???
find the proof and i will shut up, otherwise you owe me an apology for accusing.

anyway, the conclusion here is:
like it or not, bmw is not god's gift to automobile world, there are other companies out there with outstanding technologies and make outstanding cars just like bmw. choosing to see the truth and speak the truth really doesn't make me an asshole.
i know you love your z3, so do i, i love my Mz3, but i just can't blind myself and lie to myself that it's better than anything else out there. the difference between us is, i have the wisdom and heart to realize, accept, appreciate and praise other auto maker's good technology. and you on the other hand my friend, you are just another bmw owner who finally got his dream car and you love it too much to accept the fact it's really not the best thing out there.
