"something" got UNDER your paint in the factory paint process. Most likely oil in the compressed air or the paint killer SILICONE. Could also be that heat process (oven temps)were "off" that day. It happens. See ip address.

I have a '97 Atlanta Blue Roadster. Shortly after delivery, I noticed small pinpoint dots in the finish. The dealer buffed the car and the dots were greatly minimized but not removed. Over time.. they became more prominent and finally turned into big ugly splotches in the paint. The factory rep has looked at the car twice and says it's something that got on the car and will take no responsibility. This has been going on for three years now - and new "dots" continue to appear - although this has never happened to any other car I have owned and parked in same locations. Anyone else had paint problems w/ Atlanta Blue?? I WAS going to get a new M Roadster - but the way BMW has handled this is "driving" me away from another BMW purchase.
