I got about 18K mile from the first set of rear pilot Sports. I almost didn't realize they were as low as they were until the car was up on a rack. The wear was really limited to the inside 1/4 of the tread...the middle and outside (the part easiest seen with mud flaps) looked almost brand new.

The second set of rear Pilot Sports seems to be wearing more evenly. With just over 11K miles on them, I can see squeezing another 10K out of them if I drive conservatively (which means I'll probably get no more than 7K more miles on them)

Took my '00 M out for its sunday drive today and noticed that the rear tires (stock Michelin Pilot Sports) are almost ready to be replaced with not quite 12K miles on them. My review of the archives suggests that this is about average for these tires.

Note that I have not autocrossed or raced the car but do primarily drive it on weekends, which is to say that I take it on twisty roads and drive fairly hard. Interestingly, the tires are worn most in the center, which I might ordinarily attribute to overinflating the tires, but I keep close tabs on tire pressure. Is this consistent with others' experience?
