The check engine light coming on could be several things. the two most common are O2 sensor and the gas cap not on tight. If the light came on soon after you filled up I would think that is the cause. If it is loose tighten it and the light will go out in 2 days or less. The igintion switch turning 360 is not a problem I have heard before. Others on the borad may have some insight into that one. Does sound like a bad switch.
