help.replacing trim ring and plexi for instuments (archive)

Ijust bought a 99 2.5. This car came with a cracked slightly trim ring and somewhat cracked plexi widow for in front of the instrument panel where the speedometer and rpm guages are. I see there are two hexnuts at the top of this panel appearing to hold this piece in; however, I am not sure if this piece is independant or a part of the whole thing. also, is it difficult to replace the plexi after I get in there. Or should I just live with it. This is always an option.ha. Thanks in advance,
