The Alarm and Keyless Entry system just plugs into a prewired electrical port that is behind the glove box. It is a simple job, but it is easier if you know what screws to take out. There is a detailed description on how to do this, here in the archives, or the Bently manual explains it too.


I just bought a 98 1.9 (still under warranty till June '02 and currently has 22k miles), and had a few questions.

1) do I still get the free maintance/roadside assistance even though I bought it used?

2) Should i still be able to get the cupholder instead of the tape holder for free in the 98 Z?

3) Where is the factory keyless entry/alarm mounted stock, and is it made by Alpine?

4) Was there ever a TSB for the rough idle problem?
