Hey all...

Was investigating putting Porterfield R-4S pads into my 2000 Z3. Porterfield's web site only lists fitment for 96-98. Well, I e-mailed them asking if they would fit a 2000. Porterfield replied that they think so, but couldn't guarantee it. They then followed with an e-mail stating that they called their local Autozone and verified that 96-98 pads are the same as 2000. When I replied why they didn't contact BMW, they replied that sometimes manufacturers change part numbers even if they're the same. So I called my local BMW dealer's parts department and asked and they said the pads were different but didn't know what was different. Now I am befuddled.

Has anyone used the Porterfield R-4S pads?

Is your car a 98 or earlier? or 99 or later?

Has anyone used any other aftermarket pads on a 2000?

Does anyone know if the OEM pads on a 96-98 are the same as a 2000?

Help...
