The European version must have a different rear gear because 200 rpm will not account for the 155 to 172mph difference.

The speedometer on the Z's and M's reads high by about 2.5mph at 60, so at 120 it would be off by about 5mph. This explains your 142mph (137+5).

I plan to use a GPS unit that will store the peak top speed. I had it in an airplane once and it topped 550mph!

European version was geared taller. The U.S. and Euro versions are pretty close accelerating up to about 80 mph, then the 321 HP taller geared Euro walks away
