I just purchased a 2000 Z3 2.8 Roadster (automatic) that was wrecked. It was hit in the right rear quarter panel and door - the damage was enough to total it. I would prefer to purchase a complete rear clip, then merge the halves. Does anyone know if the inner structure is different between the different years? I realize that the quarters are wider on my 2000, but am hoping that the inner structure is the same, as it would open up my options. I'd like to get it ready for spring. I plan on getting a body shop crash book, but thought someone may have some hands-on experience. My rear bumper, trunk and tailights are all good also.
