Hi guys. I've been driving my 2000Mroadster for over a year now. First week I had a very scary experience when doing just a 100mph one lane change through a slight curve on high way. I brought it to a friend garage and saw different number of rubber rings trapped between rear shocks and springs. The dealer took them off for me and appologized for having left them there. But the car still seem to have something strange causing horrible oversteer, especially on wet pavement. Once I was inches from slamming into incomming car for applied just a little bit on the gas going thru left turn. I was only going I thouhgt less than 20mph, tap the gas a bit and then into uncontrolable spin. Lucky I didn't hit anything. I repeatedly got into so suddent oversteer when power the car thru constant turn rate ( I was not accelerating faster, just keep the gas so I can keep same speed thru the curve). That happen mostly when wet. There are only 14Kmiles on it. I don't notice much wear off on the tires.
Now that I've heard that the Mroadster handling can be unpredictable here and there, but if it were like what I found many wouldn't love it so much, IMHO. I'm not an very experient driver neither a reckless yappy who expect too much but I have lots of chances to put way more pace though cars from many cheap compact to MB, boxster, carrera, camaro, vetts, mustang an non scared me the way the Mroadster does. I looked over the car and didn't find any thing weird like the first time. Please tell me how your M or other Z3 do. I want to know more before bring mine in again 'cuz it's very hard to convince the service adviser at busy BMW dealer something like poor handling unless you notice something physically and tell them. If it is suppose to be that bad what can be done? Bigger tire, which one? Would strutbrace, any other spring/shock help? Any advice is appreciated.
