Hi Lester,

Oops, sorry you had that trouble with the shop. I'm pretty sure the noise isn't drowned out because it's really quite loud and I think I would hear it. I could be wrong though.

When I had the car aligned last weekend (at a different place), they checked everything in the front suspension (the noise is definitely coming from the front, ruling out rear shock mounts) and said everything was tight. I'm beginning to wonder about other things like the driveshaft. My next idea is to take it to the dealer, but I don't know if they'll have any better luck. Thanks for the advice though and I'll keep trying.

PS, I tried standing outside while my dad drove the car over a curb cut. I can hear the noise coming from underneath the front somewhere, but I just can't locate it precisely. What I really need is for someone to drive the car over me, but that has other consequences I'm not willing to deal with:)

Peter

If it "Only happens at speeds under 10mph over speed bumps, curb cuts, and other undulations" then have someone ride a bike next to the car to hear where the noise is comming from.

It is possiable that the noise is drowned out at speeds over 10mph and all though there you can't hear it.

When I had my Koni's installed the shop (you recommended them to me) left the front right side sway bar lose. It made a funny noise over bumps. So, I would personally check the tightness of everything before rulling it out because they were jsut installed.

Lester
