I must say, with the top up, I sometimes forget I am driving a convertible. (I have an 01 with a lined top.) It is very quiet.

Put it this way: I have only had the top down once since I bought it (mid-Dec) and I still love it. A blast to drive, and it's only gonna get better.

This said, I would not use it as a daily driver, at least in the snowy East (though many people do). But much of that is simply not wanting to take the risk of sliding around on snow.
