That interlock was not put in just to incovenience owners. Car REALLY should be stopped for the few seconds it takes...even in the rain or whatever.

If this situation occurs so often that you need a mechanical fix, just disable the power part, and do the top by hand...quicker, but you should STILL stop to do it.

I know that a few on the board have accomplished what you are asking...and/or are adept at heel/toeing to get the top up. Just seems a mighty big risk when stopping is so easy.
