It does nothing for your car to use a higher octane gasoline than is necessary. It won't add HP or anything. I believe 91 octane is recommended. In my old Celica, I use a higher than recommended octane only because it knocks on hard acceleration with the recommended octane.

But, if are for real and want to waste your money on a higher than necessary octane gasoline, it is up to you.

timing as far as possible, thus higher octane gas would yield more power.
