I just called BMW CS, about the paint problem. Well I think Mike at Tulley BMW in Nashua is going to have a problem.
Ok my car which I am second owner of, has been meticulously ( misspelled of course) MANTIANED. THe car was taken to A BMW dealer every time it coughed. Now the body shop at the nearest BMW dealer to me is saying the car was painted and painted badly. Im like hold on. Lets go on facts:
1. the car was at one point painted by BMW
2. BMW makes mistakes, they admitted it could happen.
3. the car was leased
4. the car was mantained by BMW
5. the BMW service guys CTA (cover their A$$)
they would have documented a paint job this bad. THe thing that makes it bad is that the body shop had me park it near a HEAT lamp which atfer 25 mins Mike, showed me a rough spot right under the lamp. I mentioned the lamp and he said that has Nada to do w/anything BULL CRAP. the lamp was for the car that had just left the bay i was put in.
6.There is silver paint in a rock chip.
7. there is bubbling on another rock chip.
8. THe service manager says Mike will not touch a car that HE THINKS may have voided it warranty.
Conclusion. BMW painted this car maybe they made a mistake. they did not notice a bad paint job b/c the heat lamp damaged my car. THe painter At BMW Tulley is so insecure with his work that he doesn't feel comfortable in painting just a chip He would rather do the whole car.
