They look great! Stock in fact! Natch I have a few questions.

1. As compared to stock, what was the total weight (tire and wheel)?

Swapped OEM 16" and 225/50/16 tires for 17 x 8 w/225/45/17 and 17 x 9 w/245/40/17. Let's assume the tire change to be same weight. The wheels are in the 16-17 lb range which is about 8-10 lbs. lighter than stock.

2. What was the total cost.

Bought the wheels from a guy on the Z3 coupe board (Scott Galaba), so let's just say I got them cheaper than Tirerack sells them for, which is about $360 each. Tires were right around $562 including mounting and balancing.

3. Finally, how is the ride? I very apprehensive about getting a bumpier ride seeing as I live in potholeland.

Since I only went up to 17" rather than Dubbin' out at 18" or 19" the ride is not worse. Also, wheels are forged making them stonger than cast and able to withstand potholes.

4. Is there any room left under the fender for a wheel spacer?

I guess since I didn't go as wide as others have, there probably would be room for a spacer. The wheels are hub-centric with the same offset as BMWs optional 17" wheels. I only put on a tire
as wide as used on the upgraded BMW package.
