I think you have to consider the warranty issue. Even if you find an MZ3 with low miles, it will be out of warranty in a year, whereas a new car won't. Even if you save money when you buy it, one big mechanical problem out of warranty and your great deal has evaporated. Plus, people seem to drive these cars hard; even low miles does not necessarily mean it's a cream puff.

They are also very different cars, and it just depends on what you want. I have an 01 2.5 and the performance is great; I chose not to spend the extra 6 thousand on the 3.0 (which is similar in HP to the 98-99 MZ3). Also, a new 2.5 isn't 32 or 33; closer to 34-35, plus tax makes is closer to 36-37. Just FYI.
