For me, it depends on how much of the used car has left on the warranty. I am no mechanic and would need to fall victim to the price of upkeep. Also, I would make sure any used //M has excellent tires, I bought my //99 M last summer and am putting out $1200 for tires now. Having said all that, the //M is an incredible car even if its used.

I have been shopping around to finally buy my Z3, and I have noticed that some M-Roadsters are now down into a more affordable (for me) price range.

So... What does the group think? Would I be happier to buy a used (but in great condition of course) 98 or 99 M-Roadster, or go for the new 2001 2.5? They both would be about the same price.. somewhere in that low $32-33k range.
