In Reply to: 98-99 MRoadster or 2001 2.5? Which should I buy? posted by Stefan Yotz on March 02, 2001 at 14:17:47:

I have been shopping around to finally buy my Z3, and I have noticed that some M-Roadsters are now down into a more affordable (for me) price range.

So... What does the group think? Would I be happier to buy a used (but in great condition of course) 98 or 99 M-Roadster, or go for the new 2001 2.5? They both would be about the same price.. somewhere in that low $32-33k range.

you don't drive the MZ then I am absolutely
positive that you will love the 2001 2.5. It has a smidgen more HP that my 2000 2.5. However, if you
drive an "M" as I have you will probably S_ _ _
your pants and will not be overly impressed with the 2.5. I already owned my 2.5 but was able to eventually get over the feeling I experienced from driving the "M". Seriously though, the 2.5 is a well balanced car. The "M" puts you out closer to the "edge".
