specification for the ACEA A3 standard is 15W-40. None of their 0W-, 5W- or 10W- stuff does except maybe 10W-40 if they make it.

To save tons of money, get BMW 5W-30 High Performance from your local dealer; with BMW CCA discount it'll cost about $2.90 a quart. And the BMW filters can be had at a 20% discount, too. Then change the oil and filter yourself.

I wouldn't trust the local quickie-greasy-lubie joints to my BMW, but yours may be different.
