I test drove off the lot, and yes I probably put it over 5000 RPM's and pushed the 100mph limits, but for a very limited time, and I can't imagine most people do that. Of course I did not buy THAT car I got another... I don't think that the 114 or so miles were all driven hard, and in the end, I bought a car with 44 miles and I had no reservations.
