Kinda a funny thang (archive)

Today I went to lunch with a co-worker for the first time in an attempt to get to know her better. Ive worked with this gal for about 5 months but only recently started to dig beneath the surface; she's really a sweet person.

So shes telling me about her dog's erratic behavor. How a friend of hers came over to show her his new BMW and the dog bit him. There was more to it but I was concentrating on what kind of beamer this guy had. I asked her what kind of BMW, "I dont know ..a convertable" Im thinking cool, I wonder if its a Z3. So I asked her more questions about this guys car. "was it a small two seater?" I asked. Then she starts..."NO, Ugg those are so ugly! I hate the big "nose" on them and those holes in the side of the fenders..eweee" Im laughing inside because I know shes gonna feel so awful when I tell her I got one.

So here I am, smiling while she proceedes to dig herself in deeper. She all-of -a-sudden stops and asks me whats so funny. I tell her I own one of those ugly, big nosed cars and its actually rather a cool car. "uhhh, well I never really rode in one..etc"

Just kinda funny, I never set out to impress a woman with my car but you really do kinda hope they'll be attracted to it some. Seems like I'll have to rely on my charm for this one. All in all, I still think shes pretty cool, and same for the coworker!
