As stated, it is indeed a Metropolitan. Though it is probably an AMC car, rather than a Nash. Nash (and Hudson) sold a few of the very early ones (which this one is - no trunk handle), but AMC sold nearly all of the 100,000 of these brought into the country.

Mine is a pink and white convertible, and runs like a top. Yours has a nice color - but the originals didn't come with colors that dark. More pastel-ly.




Look what was parked next to me today at In-N-Out Burger in San Ramon! This car was in absolute pristine condition!
