Karen,
Actually, they have not required previous driving experience. I had never participated in anything beyond an autocross when I started last month. They will pair you up with an instructor if it is your first time with them,(mandatory). By first time, I mean first time for a PCA event. Your experience is more than adequate and far more than most of the people there. And I found out from this weekend, that the stock roll bars in Mark's M roadster were adequate. The rule reads similar to this: Broomstick regulation - all open top cars must have a roll bar of some construction. When a broomstick is put on the windshield and bar, it must have at least 2" clearance to the helmet if using stock seat belts. If using a harness, the helmet must be below the broomstick,(no min distance). However, they were mainly concerned that you had a roll bar and it was sound and were not checking with a broomstick. They are flexible on the tech to small extents and are reasonable. Since the roadsters bars are factory installed, they consider them adequate. Now if you stick way above them, I would consider getting something anyways, for your own saftey.
As for schedule, it is always the second saturday/weekend of each month. Next months event is a smaller track and only one day. The next big two day event will be in May, and a similar course, but slightly shorter.
I hope you can make it down one of these months!
-Bobby
Also, I could not find a link for next month's event on the PC CBR site that you gave us. They only had a link to this weekend's event that you attended. Do you have any more info? Thanks!
