... Most people are probably aware of this. I bought my 98 2.8 Z3 two weeks ago, so I am fairly new on this. It seems that if you have your car before 3 yrs or 36,000 miles, the oil service and inspection is free, unless you have an extended warranty.

The Oil Service cost $114 and Inspection II (fancy name for tune up, etc.) cost $492. But $350 out of $492 is Labor Cost. They have given me the itemized parts along with the BMW part #. So in the future, I'm thinking of buying the parts and doing the job myself or a mechanic friend of mine.
