Essentially you put the jack right under the cross piece that is forward of the differential. For the jack I have, this entailed jockeying the jacking plate up between the exhaust pipes, right where they come in towards the center of the car.
The modified jackstands are shortened by about 2" so that you don't have to jack your car up so high to get them under the jack points. Then Ron gets them powder coated in yellow so they look pretty. He also makes a Delrin adapter that sits on the top of the jackstand and has the right shape to fit into the slotted jacking point on the Z3s. The adapter also pivots a bit so that when you are only jacking up two wheels, like I did, you have a secure jack point even tho the car is at an angle.
