I would assume that you could get it for a few thousand less. 2.8's go for 23K to 27K around here(Los Angeles). If you are basing your price on KBB.com - they are hoplessly optimistic. That price for a 98 w/ 36,000 miles is definately too much in my opinion. I think you can work them down, though.

A dealership in Austin has a nice dark green 98 Z3 2.8, I checked its history at carfax and it is clean, one owner. It has 36,500 miles on it, asking $28,900. I haven't driven it yet, but I was wondering what you thought of the deal?
