Back in December of 2000, I purchased a 2001 2.5 for the actual invoice amount. Approximately $3000.00 off MSRP. I believe if the dealer is getting $1000 from BMW, he can afford to sell you one for invoice. Shop around. I think you'll be able to do it too.


I want to buy a new 2001 Z3 2.5 before the end of this month and have visited four dealers in the Chicago area. The best deal I have been able to negotiate is $1,500.00 off MSRP and free floor mats. Is this a good deal and doesn't the dealer receive $1,000.00 from BMW for each 2.5 he sells through 03/31/01? Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts.
