check recent archives... i recall fred meloan had a message, perhaps on E46 forum, that bmwna has sent out a new tech notice to dealers... prescribing an oil change at least once every year.
for oil, by the way, if you don't use bmw oil, if your car came with synthetic, you can use castrol syntech ... its the same thing.
