"I'm curious, however, as to why you decided to opt for the 325 calipers and 2.8 rotors as opposed to getting the Euro M3 floating rotors and M calipers?"

First - I believe that the hub for the M's are different.

Second - Cost - 325 Calipers $150 /pair
Cryo Rotors $120 ea.

Third - the 1.9 brakes are fine for 90% of all driving and I never had a problem. But for the track I wanted to make sure that the brakes never fade so I went with vented rotors.

The 1.9 is so light compared to the 2.8 or M's so anything larger than a 2.8 brake upgrade would have been overkill.

The 2.8 rotors also have a larger braking surface area compared to the 1.9 rotors - about 5% more. (The diameter of the rotors are the same, but the available surface area for the pads is larger for the 2.8 rotor) To keep the brakes cool, I will take any additional cooling or heat disipation measure available.

Mario
