I have been waiting for the final outcome to post this, and wanted to take the time to share my first experience with a BMW dealership and BMWNA. I have seen a few posts regarding questionable results from some BMW dealerships and this is the opposite. Sorry...it's long.

I bought a 98 2.8 (39K miles) from Three Rivers Motor Car Company from McMurray PA back in Dec of 2000. The car was on E-Bay and I "won" the auction for $25100 with CPO warranty. The dealership in an exchanged e-mail to me claimed the car had heated seats and premium package. I flew from Rochester NY to PA and drove the car back. However, it did not have those "claimed" options. It was implied we could work something out regarding the error. I was thinking of a CD changer for the trunk.

Once I got back to Rochester with the car, I started dealing with this BMW dealership via e-mail and phone. My car was missing three of the four keys supposed to come with a CPO car also (I mentioned these things before driving the car home). As time went on, I asked about getting the BMW alarm and CD changer from them and I would install. I felt this was fair for consideration on the missing "claimed options. We "talked" over 20 times over the next 2 months, with promises / excuses coming from the salesperson. At more than one point promises were made. I kept copies of all e-mails and recorded dates for phone conversations. Finally a few weeks ago the "final" e-mail said the dealership would do nothing for me (this was after I kept telling the salesperson maybe I should stop dealing with him and contact the owner, but he always had an excuse).

I then called BMWNA and shared the entire story (with some very questionable e-mails). Within days, I was talking to the owner of this BMW dealership and apologies were offered. I was told to go to my local dealership and get a price for the changer, alarm, keys, all installed with taxes included. You guessed it...$1506.00. This dealership who I bought the car from, next sent me a check for the money.

Bottom line to my long winded story? Three Rivers Motor Car Company stepped up to the plate and is a class act! Also BMWNA was outstanding! Their help and concern that a BMW dealership acted this way was greatly appreciated! Quick turnaround and excellent customer satisfaction!

I know some people may question my patience (this took over 2 months), but the messages and e-mails just kept me "stringing along" waiting for the win / win outcome I was being promised.

Sorry for the long message, but I think this message was worth posting here. Feel free to e-mail me if you want.
