Has anybody mntd. a video cam in M Rdstr? for race (archive)

I would like to mount a video camera in car (looking out the windshield) while running at Auto-X events.
Has anyone here yet done this?
Where/how did you mount it.
Is it useable with the top in either the up or down position?
What type of camcorder would you recommend?
