I have mounted a video camera in my ///MRoadster for track and autocross events.

I just taped twenty minutes of track time at Laguna Seca this past Monday.

I purchased a comercial camera mount (made for round roll bars.) and modified it to fit around the roll hoop on the center side of the passanger roll hoop. At wide angle you get a nice view of the road ahead as well as the drivers hands on the wheel and when the light is just right the instruments on the dash.

I use a Sony.

It works with the top up or down BUT you cannot move the top up or down with it in place. By that I mean you can install it with the top up or down but you cannot move the top up or down with it in place. A smaller camera may allow for the top to be moved up and down.
