However, it takes a lot to win an F1 race. Flashes of brilliance are great...but don't forget that JPM crashed out/broke down in more CART races than he won, and the competition there was incredibly watered down anyway. (If you want to watch EVERY CART race he ran in, stop on over and we can watch them together.)
We know that the BMW motor is powerful; Williams has had a remarkable recent record of LACK of reliability in their cars...and as noted in the Brazil broadcast, also a pretty unimpressive record as far as pit stops are concerned. Couple that with Montoya's knack of knocking cars out of his way rather than passing them cleanly, and you have to stretch a bit to be forecasting F1 wins just yet.
I hope he does...I love his driving style...at least in CART. I still think, though, that it is a longshot for Williams to surpass M. Schumacher and Barichello AND Hakkinen and Coulthard this season -- even once. If Williams IS to get a win, it seems to me that R. Schumacher is the more likely candidate, if he can keep his car running.
