I believe most people regard last year's CART season as the most competitive ever! I certainly feel it was right up there. Been following (real) "Indy Cars" since attending Trenton, NJ in 1968. So...I do believe Juan is a phenom and feel he will win this year and will stick my neck out to say he will be world champ within 2 years.
Seems the success of F1 teams goes in cycles and Williams number is now coming due. Also, yes the pass on Schumi was a little rough and Zinardi-like but come on, who else deserves it more than him? Bet Damon Hill was jumping up and down!
So I root for BMW no matter the driver-and Ralf is a good one, but my favorite is Juan as if you couldn't tell. Saw him at Nazareth last year and even got his autograph! He of course went on to win Indy the next day.
There are a couple of small articles on the accident in Brazil on AtlasF1.com and formula1.com. They contend that Jos just braked too late and hit Montoya. And Lauda feels that Rubens should be banned for 2 races for hitting Ralf-twice. I'd go for that!
Can't wait for the next race, and your feedback.
