Stick the tip of a small flathead screwdriver under the bottom edge of the sub grill and pop it out. Flip it over and bend up the edges of the grill that hold it onto the frame. Place face up on some newspaper and spray 2-3 coats of Krylon chrome spray paint. Top coat with 2-3 coats of clear high gloss polyeurethane. Purchase the chrome Z3 emblem from the dealership(it has a sticky back adhesive) center the emblems on the grill, remount on to the base frame, super easy and it looks really trick.

Note that this is a trick used by hardcore chrome fanatics(which I am). So don't expect to get a lot of praise on this one. That being the case, it's YOUR ride and you can do whatever the hell you want to with it. So... GO FOR IT DUDE!!
