So I go to the dealer looking to order a fairly base 2.5 (just heated seats and CD). But sitting on the showroom floor is an Alpine white 3.0 with a tan leather interior. I made the HUGE mistake of starting it and listening to that engine. Next thing I knew, I was forking over the cash.
SO now I'm freaking out. I haven't really finalized the deal, which seems pretty good. On the one hand, there is the unnecessary extra 0.5 in the engine. Then there's the extra few thousand dollars. But man oh man, that thing sounds sweet.
But then again, it has a power top. which I don't care for, and the computer, which I don't need.
But man oh man ... it's a little rocket car and that 3.0 has that rumble to it that just sings out to me "mark, if you'd like I can reduce these dunlops to puddles of molten rubber - but only if you want me to"
And I'm even getting a good deal. If I ordered the 2.5 I wouldn't really be paying all that much less. But it would be less.
AKKKKKK
Sorry about this rambling post. I don't really have a point - just freaking out a little and I figured you would understand what it's like.
