Covered all the bases?? (archive)

OK, I went for a long run and am happy with my decision to get a 3.0. It makes me smile.

I thought I'd check with you guys to see if I have covered all of the bases.

The dealer (BMW-Seattle) is essentially throwing in floor mats, a windscreen, and the keyless entry (none of that is in the car now).

I also asked for the infamous window blanket. The sales guy did not seem to know what I was talking about, and I would have been much more successful in making my point if I had known. All I know is that there is some sort of window blanket and if I don't get it for free I can register scorn and displeasure. So I did.

Then I asked for rock guards. I have no idea how much they cost, but he said he could get them installed at some cost which he won't know until tomorrow when the parts dept. opens.

Is there anything else? Maybe glove box anti-rattle cream?

Thanks a million for your patient replies to questions that no doubt have been aksed a thousand times. If it helps, I did search the archives and I am more sure than ever that I need to get the window blanket, whatever it is.

Mark
