I just installed 2 RE730's in the rear. Comparing the stock Mxx's and the RE's in their new condition, I think the MXX's are better tires. I replaced the stock tires because one of them has 3 nails in it, and it's leaking air, and they have 37k miles on them too. Well, given the condition and age of the old tire, I think my car handles better in the new 730's. Wet performance of the RE's are good. I think they are as predictable but not as sticky as the MXX's. At this price, you can't go wrong. I'll install RE730 for the fronts in the future.simon. 97 2.8
I'm going to be needing tires soon. From what I've read in messages I've saved and tirerack.com, the RE730 looks like what I'm looking for. Relatively affordable, long life, and fairly good performance. I may autox 2-3 times a year, nothing worth buying a special tire for, but would like something that doesn't put me at a disadvantage.
Are there any negatives to these tires? I haven't found any in the archives.
Thanks
JeffC
