Problems getting to 2nd (Gear that is...) (archive)

At the light, rpm's waiting at 3000... light turns green, hit the gas let the clutch and watch the tach go to 5500. This is where the problem occurs. I go to 2nd and pop the clutch then the tires squeal, but the tractional control system engages which slows the whole car down. What to do? Do I turn off the ASC and risk the tires spinning out of 2nd gear? Shift at a lower rpm? Not an experienced dragster and have only had my Z a month. Any tips from the pros?
