Last fall I sold my '87 528e to raise money to buy the Z3. The AAA rep handling the paper work asked me the selling price of the car. I gladly and willingly told her exactly what the buyer was paying. She then proceeded to look up what the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania believed the selling price should be. Since that was slightly more than what I actually sold the car for, she handed me a form on which I had to explain why the selling price was less. I surely feel that I'm entitled to sell it for whatever I feel I want to. Anyway, I scribbled something about it being a little less than perfect. I won't lie and I felt that this is a good enough response. That was my most recent experience in selling a vehicle. I'm selling one of my Harley's this week, and I'm sure I'll reexperince the same thing, more or less.
