this weekend to drive an S2000, and I came away fairly impressed. Yes, there are some differences between the Roadster and the S2000, but for me, none of those differences translates into this car or that car being better than the other. I'm happy with my Roadster, and I'm sure I could be equally happy with an S2000. To be honest, I'd feel even better about my Z3 if BMW had the history Honda has in the reliability department.

But as far as comparing the 2 cars? It's definitely one of those things you'll have to sort out yourself by driving them and educating yourself all you can on the pros and cons.

Best of luck,
Rusty

I'm seriously considering a 2-seater convertible for my next car. Probably about 6-9 months out. Boxster S is just a little out of my range. MR-2 Spyder, well... a friend has one, and I'm just not thrilled with it. Benz SLK seems a tad underpowered still, and I'm in California, so the Vette is out for gas mileage reasons.

I've been driving Hondas for 10 years, but am actually leaning towards the Z3/3.0i in Dakar Yellow. Equipped as I like, it's only $3k more than the Honda. However, I have yet to drive either one, and comparing their numbers they are nearly identical in every way. Does the argument come down to simple aesthetics?

So which is the better car, in your opinion... and why? I'm sure you all have thoughts on this, judging from the number of times the word 'S2000' appears on this board.

Not trying to troll, just trying to make an informed decision.
