For few selected people, a Z3 isn't their primary ride or weekend car, not ever 3rd or 4th car.

I know this one guy who is a Wall St trader, who is a customer of my friend's tuning shop, we had the pleasure once to go to his place and looked at collection, this is what he got in his garage:
Bentley TurboR, Lorinser S600, RennTECH CLK60, X5 4.4, Aston Martin DB7 F355, Diablo SV, twinturbo NSX, Dinan SC'ed M3, 800hp Supra single turbo, imported Lancer EVO, Viper GTS and etc.
Now think about it, all those are fine cars that I'd love to drive all day it, but for one person there is no way he can find time to drive every car much, right?

I know this is an extreme example, but you get the idea, if Z3 is your only car and you don't like to drive it, then yes it's lame the guy has a problem, but maybe the guy has other cars that are better or more fun, you never know.
