it hasn't fallen off yet. The strip that you describe is there to keep you from loosing the cover if you ever have to take it off to use the tow hook....at least I hope that's why it's there.

I was cleaning my car today and I when I took off the tow hook cover to clean, I broke the little hook on the inside of the bumper on which the plastic 2 inch strip with the arrow at the end inserts to hold the hook cover to the bumper so you don't lose it when you take off the cover. Right now if the cover pops off when I ride, I will lose it and the cover is not on that securely. Again its not the 2 inch plastic strip with the arrow that broke but the little plastic slot that the arrow goes into. Any suggestions as I do not want to lose the tow hook cover. Does a replacement come already painted?
