Sounds like you need to go for a drive!!

I had the same prob on my '98 M, and took it to my dealer, who suggested I get on the highway, and rev the hell out of the engine, and take it for a good long fast run. Sounded crazy, but it worked!!!!
Sorry for the last post (hit enter too fast).
I have a '98 M Roadster with 25,000 miles.
For the past 3 months I've noticed a distinct vibration in the car while at idle. I can feel the car vibrate and hear it as well (sounds almost like it's backfiring).

I searched the archives and saw this description in a previous post about a 1.9 Z3:
"It's not like it's missing, but it sort of feels like the car is gently rocking. As soon as you blip the throttle it smoothes out and it runs really strong. But as soon as you come to a stop, the car starts doing a rhumba. Feels like it almost wants to die. The tach remains solid at 650 rpm and the needle doesn't move."

This sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing.
I took it to the dealer and they of course said "the computer says everything is fine." As soon as I drove off, the problem continued.
Does anyone have a similar experience with the M Roadster?
And is there anything I can tell my dealer to specifically look for to correct this problem?
