Disabling the passenger air bag adds other risks to passenger safety. And anybody (regardless of age) who weighs less than about 80 pounds should not wear conventional safety belts.

This topic comes up once in a while on these message boards. Most people feel that small/young kids do not belong in these fun cars because of the safety issues. Some people feel it's fine to let kids ride in these cars even though it's risky for them. So you get to decide what's more important to both you and your daughter; safety or feelings. You get to decide what your daughter's good health is worth.
