Don't know if they are better but it was a breeze to have them replaced. When I brought my car in for some mods I just had them replace the badges. It was painless. So far, the second has not faded. If it happens again, I'll replace it again.

As far as when the warranty runs out....well....then maybe I'll go for the home remedy tape option.
