...To fix the skipping you just need to install some DIY shocks, this takes all of 5 minutes. The problem is not so much the head, as it is the mounting clamps. The head unit is so rigidly held in place, that any vibrations from the suspension are transmitted directly into the stereo. I suspect that this may be the cause of the ejection problem as well, since all of the bumping and jarring has probably damaged the CD drive motor. Make the dealer replace the stereo, drive it straight home and install some shocks, first thing. My Business CD would skip when I hit the smallest bump or road reflectors, after installing shocks on the mounting clamps, I can now traverse craters and the stereo doesn't miss a beat.
