'...from Alabama'!!! How could you know? Was it due to his erudition or was this simply a perfunctory remark on your part? ;)

'Twas his erudition, which I enjoyed. Blame my aging memory, or all the drugs (what they say about short term memory is true...) The fellow waiting at the dealership was from Idaho ("What? There are still barricades up on 1st Avenue? The police told us they roads would be cleared and cleaned by 7pm!" hahahahahahah Welcome to New York buddy...)

The leader of the road group, on Motorcycle, Sparky- yes SPARKY- was from Texas and they all were into the Colorado Ice Hockey Game.

When I called the poor soul in the followup van, his long slow drawl belied his home state, or near enough... I am fairly sure he was missing it while cruising the Bronx, lost, in a massive van.

Mind you, I may live in New York City, but I learned to fish on the White River in Arkansas, and stay in close touch with my friends in Selma, whose Web Site I design, the National Voting Rights Museum- www.voterights.org

In life before the Z3, I roadtripped the South in 96:

I walked the Peabody Ducks in Memphis, caught my limit in Arkansas, crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma on March 7, sang gospel in Jackson, dug for Diamonds in Texarcana... so yeah, my best guess is that boy was from Alabama!
;p
