During last year's HC00, I had Jay from Global (Atlanta), upgrade my stock software to Dinan's Stage II system. I can say this that it DID MAKE A DIFFERENCE. My car ran smoother.
For the people who do not know this, Dinan Stage II does the following things:
- remove speed limiter
- bump up the rev limiter to 7,000
- change the computer fuel/air mixture calculations to use 93 octane, not 91.
- tell the computer that you are using a free flow exhaust system - - in this case SuperTrapp
- tell the computer that you are using a CAI
system - - in this case my design (Fogg/Fong)
Now you do have two main choices, you could go to either the Shark system or Dinan. Both are great upgrades. If you are not into Dinan, do the Shark, because you can switch your software back to stock, when you go to the dealer for service.
You will not be disappointed on either system.
Check out my website. I have a decent write up on what I have done to my car.
